Overview

Pipedream is adding powerful control flow operators so you can build and run non-linear workflows to unlock use cases that require advanced orchestration.

The If/Else operator is now available in preview. The following operators are coming soon:

• Switch
• Parallel
• Wait for callback
• Looping
• Subworkflows

In addition, we plan to release new and improved Filter and Delay operators as well as support for advanced error handling.

Key Capabilities

• Orchestrate execution of non-linear workflows
• Normalize results and continue after a non-linear operation
• Nest control flow operators for advanced use cases
• Return HTTP responses during or after most non-linear operations
• Execute long running workflows (workflow timeout resets at each control flow boundary)

Enabling the Preview

Open https://pipedream.com/settings/alpha and enable the Control Flow Preview option.

NOTE: The new control flow operators require the recently released preview for the Pipedream 3.0 Inspector. If you haven’t already enabled it, it will automatically be enabled for your workspace. In addition to supporting control flow, the new inspector:
